After over a year, Mel Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have finally reached a custody agreement over their daughter, Lucia.
Access Hollywood reports that Los Angeles Superior Court officials released a statement Friday (August 26) evening, announcing that the couple has settled. Details of the custody arrangement will be handled in a closed session, with the financial portion being determined during the August 31st hearing.
The actor’s spokesman confirmed the settlement, adding that Mel appreciated the judge’s assistance in mediating their case.
Gibson, 55, also reached a divorce settlement with his estranged wife of almost 28 years, Robyn. His attorney announced that the case should be finalized on Tuesday, August 30th.

“I’m probably more protective than I’ve ever been now that I have children,” the Contagion star told reporters Saturday (August 27).
“My wife [Luciana]‘s nickname for me is ‘Red Alert,’” Damon said with a laugh. “I sometimes check to see if the kids are breathing.”
The good news for his daughters is that Matt is aware of his problem, and making an effort to keep from hovering, telling reporters that he’s trying not to be a “helicopter parent.”
The bad news? We’re sure that as soon as the girls start dating, all bets are off!

Earlier in the year Kate bought a home in North London.
A source told the Daily Mail, “Kate looks at the UK as a great place to raise a family. She sees herself living and working from London for the long haul.”
