Is there room for any more celebrity moms on reality TV? Apparently CMT thinks so.
Is there room for any more celebrity moms on reality TV? Apparently CMT thinks so. While not particularly “country,” both former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jennie Garth and Melissa Rycroft of The Bachelor have landed reality shows on the country music-oriented cable network.
And while one show will document one family’s move to escape the pressures of Hollywood, another will showcase a mom’s journey as she chases stardom.
Jennie will star in I Love Jennie along with her husband (and Twilight star) Peter Facinelli and their three daughters – Luca, 14, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 5. The show will document the family’s move from Los Angeles to central California where they’ll settle into a country lifestyle, away from the pressures of Hollywood.
Melissa and Tye: A New Reality will star the former Bachelorette and her husband Tye Strickland along with baby daughter Ava Grace. In the show Melissa will attempt to manage a long-distance relationship with Tye while pursuing a career in Tinsletown.
What hasn’t Kristen Stewart accomplished in 2011?
What hasn’t Kristen Stewart accomplished in 2011? Two major movie productions, one certified blockbuster, an armful of prestigious magazine covers, an endless amount of red carpets and interviews and a serious relationship? Whew – that’s a lot. But wait, just the tip of the iceberg! She also rode a bunch of horses, starred in a music video, traveled the world, fed her friends and perfected her trumpet playing. KStew truly is a renaissance woman, and she does it all while looking cool in Converse. Read on as we recap her finest moments of the year. Warning:
Serious fangirling ahead.
Kristen rang in 2011 with a kiss from boyfriend Robert Pattinson while celebrating on Isle of Wight, their favorite low-key getaway spot. They normally fly under the radar, but while ringing in the New Year, some fans got lucky and snapped pics with the pair.
She then got things going by putting her best fashion foot forward at the People’s Choice Awards with bombshell hair and the perfect mini. This look is one of our favorites of the year:
It was one of Rob’s favorites too, we’d assume, judging from the cute looks he was giving his girl the entire night.
The actress was also Vogue’s January cover girl, and she stunned in styles designed by Proenza Schouler. While the photos sure were tasty, we enjoyed her tortilla soup recipe, included in the article, even more. It’s spicy, guys!
In February, we oggled the first still shots from On the Road. Dancing Kristen is the best Kristen.
Smiles! And shoes! Our two favorite things.
At the end of the month, she jetted to St. Thomas with Rob and the Breaking Dawn crew to shoot the final scenes of the film, which just so happened to be the sexiest ones as well.
In May, Kristen killed on the red carpet of the Costume Institute Gala at the Met in a floor-length Proenza Schouler. In true KS form, she hit up the after party in jeans, sneakers and a knotted T.
The next day, she checked out of her hotel with a friend in hand — Bear the bouncing, bubbly dog.
At the MTV Movie Awards, Kristen shared the Best Kiss Award with her boyfriend and snagged Best Female Performance, too. She called her fans the “greatest” in her adorable acceptance speech.
Kristen spent the summer splitting her time between preproduction for Snow White and the Huntsman and couples’ time with Rob. In June she hung out with pals Tom Sturridge, Sienna Miller and Garrett Hedlund in London.
Then she headed up Toronto for some quality time with Bear and Rob.
Back in L.A., Kristen was busy updating her passport, working on her fitness (Om Namah Shiv-Yeah Girl) and perfecting her horseback riding skills.
She also got in a little fender-bender and handled it like a pro.
At the end of July, KStew traveled to San Diego for ComicCon, where she promoted Breaking Dawn in our favorite T-shirt of the year. So boxy! So cute! So only looks good on someone with that hot of a bod.
In August, she headed back to London to get down to Snow White-in’, with a little bit of Rob in tow (hint: that’s his guitar case).
And she ended the summer taking home the crown on TheFABlife’s 2011 Bikini Awards.
Then in September the world got a sweet KStew surprise: her performance in pal Marcus Foster‘s video for “I Was Broken.” Oh, the screencapping that went down the day this was released:
Throughout the fall we had massive fangirl meltdowns every time photogs snapped pics from the Snow White and the Huntsman set.
The scene work looked grueling, but Kristen seemed to have a smile on her face at all times, even when dealing with injuries and the elements.
In between long days on set, Kristen hit up the Mulberry fashion show and after-party in London, sporting a silky braid and sweet face.
As Breaking Dawn promo heated up, K fronted four — yes, FOUR — major magazine covers with four very different looks. We’re sure her English boyfriend liked every single one equally.
In November, the pair joined pal Taylor Lautner for the hand and footprint ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Kristen couldn’t contain her excitement, declaring to the crowd, “I’ve never been so enamored by this business. … I think this is the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
Kristen stunned in J. Mendel at the Los Angeles premiere of Breaking Dawn. Sure her long legs and gorgeous skin were on display, but what we really noticed was her confidence. It was the most beautiful thing about her that night!
In our interview with the actress she revealed that she’s been learning the trumpet, a tidbit we were thrilled to share with the world. She even bragged that she was way better at the instrument than Rob. Go on, Kristen, toot your own horn! Ugh, sorry. We had to do it.
As Akira rumors swirled (and continue to do so) Kristen zipped back to London to don Cavalli for the U.K. premiere. This, dear friends, was our favorite KStew fashion moment of the year, just beating out her Movie Awards mini.
After spending some quality time with Rob and his family in London, Kristen recently wrapped on SWATH and headed back to L.A. While we can’t wait to see the actress shine in her next role (and are counting the weeks until we get some Snow White and On the Road action), we also wouldn’t mind watching her branch out in a new direction in 2012. Chef Stew, perhaps?
