This season, Broadway is especially jam-packed with huge names from the big and small screens. Some of these performers have already topped the film and music industries, and have a background in theater; making their Broadway debut in a high-profile production seems like the next logical step. For Daniel Radcliffe and Bradley Cooper, performing to a house of people who may or may not have turned off their cell phones is old hat. Denzel Washington has previously starred in Broadway productions of Checkmates, Julius Caesar and won a Tony Award for Fences, but it’s his current turn in A Raisin in the Sun that got Barack and Michelle Obama to head to New York for a visit. James Franco is enjoying his Broadway debut in Of Mice and Men — opposite Chris O’Dowd and Leighton Meester — and all the attention that comes with it.

Plenty of stars have musical roots, but who’s taking to the stage eight times a week? In order to better prepare your culture calendar for the upcoming months, we’re taking a look at the biggest names starring in must-see shows this year. Plan accordingly.

Our guy, Nick Lachey got to sit down with Conan this morning (YES, IT WAS THIS MORNING) on Big Morning Buzz Live to discuss the show and to get the inside scoop on whether or not Nick Lachey is the greatest Nick of all.

A good MTV Movie Awards host has many roles to fill. He or she has to funny, hip and ready to schmooze the celebrities. O’Brien took this last part to the next level when he gave himself the challenge to feature 50 celebrity cameos in the show’s cold open. O’Brien got the help of Taylor Swift, Lupita Nyong’o and the cast of Noah (amongst others) to help him meet this goal. But who was going to have the honor of being the 50th celebrity?

One of Conan O’Brien’s monologue jokes got a particularly strong reaction on social media. The acerbic comic pointed out that Grumpy Cat was not only asleep, but he had a better seat than Nick Lachey. Lachey got to drill O’Brien on what it was like to host the MTV Movie Awards and O’Brien revealed that in his mind, Nick Lachey is the best Nick. “Nick Lachey trumps Nick Jonas any day,” he declared. ”I don’t care  what other Nick you can come up with…Nick Nolte, Nick Jonas…none of them! They’re not fit to clean your shoes.”

No wonder Conan O’Brien was so pissed that Grumpy Cat had a better seat than Nick Lachey.
