In today’s edition of our eagle-eyed Kim Kardashian Maternity Style Evolution coverage, we bring you Kiki in a fierce ’80s Power Bitch ensemble: tomato red nails, leather pencil skirt, bossy little clutch, and a casually draped fur stole. So good, so good, sooo goood.

This black-and-white outfit happens to be glorious, but lately we’ve been frustrated by Kim’s disregard for color (so bleak!). And what’s up with stuffing her bump into obviously non-maternity clothing? In the latest issue of Us Weekly, a source gets down to the bottom of it: “Around the time Kardashian got pregnant last fall, Kanye West steered her away from maternity clothing. He selected about 300 pieces — heavy on the black and white color scheme — from her closet and had them tailored.” Just as we suspected.

Here’s hoping she starts following her own style instincts, soon. Click through the gallery to catch up on all of Lady West’s pregnancy outfits!

Real Black Cowboys Live On Screen In They Die By Dawn

Four real-life outlaws meet up in the town of Langston, Oklahoma to play a risky game.

Four real-life outlaws meet up in the town of Langston, Oklahoma to play a risky game. The winner of their shootout gets to collect their collected bounty: $80,000. The losers? Well, the losers will “die by dawn.” Such is the plot of director Jeymes Samuel‘s new short film, They Die By Dawn, which stars Michael K. Williams as Nat Love and Erykah Badu as Stagecoach Mary. The twist? Every character in the film is a historical figure who actually lived in the Old West. Oh, and all but three characters are African-American.

The film premiered last night in New York at the TriBeCa Film Center in an event co-sponsored by Bulleit Bourbon. We got a chance to talk to Samuel last night about his love of Westerns and his desire to reclaim black history. According to Samuel, it was important that all of the characters were real so that if kids today watch his films, they can go straight to the history books and learn how the West was really won (ie, with men and women of all races represented).

As Samuel explained, “I loved Doris Day and she starred in a film called Calamity Jane…How is that that I know all the words of ‘Calamity Jane’, who was a real character, but I’ve never been taught about Stagecoach Mary, who would wipe the floor with Calamity Jane? Like, swag for swag, Stagecoach Mary would put two bullets in Calamity Jane’s behind and tell her ‘go run back to Deadwood’. I’ve learned about Billy the Kid. I’ve never learned about Nat Love or Bill Pickett or Jim Beckwourth or Ben Hodges or Cherokee Bill or Rufus Buck and the Rufus Buck gang.”

So, what’s a Western fan like Samuel to do? Recruit the best black talent around, Avengers-style, in an ambitious project that spans not just They Die By Dawn, but the short film’s full-length sequel, The Notorious Nine. Samuel promised us last night that stars Michael K. Williams and Erykah Badu will return in the sequel, as well as Rosario Dawson, Isaiah Washington, Kelly Hu, Nate Parker, and Felicia Pearson. And when I tried to squeeze out the name of who would be playing The Notorious Nine‘s big bad, Rufus Buck, Samuel refused, saying, “That’s a secret! But it’s ill, ill, ill!”

Former Cosby kid Keisha Knight Pulliam stopped by our very own Big Morning Buzz Live today to give host Carrie Keagan the dirt on her new celebrity diving show, Splash! It sounds fairly simple (you just kinda fall, right?), but Keisha admitted it’s harder than it looks, and the stress sometimes proved too much for fellow contestant Kendra Wilkinson.

The former Girl Next Door repeatedly sassed her coach, Olympian Greg Louganis. “Her and Greg bumped heads just a little bit,” Keisha told Carrie. Apparently Greg thought that she was faking her fear of heights on the 10-meter board. Errr, we can safely say that it seems like a pretty healthy fear to us! ”Kendra’s dramatic in general, but she’s such a sweetheart. So I’m sure it was a little power struggle of the wills. But it’s scary!”

But it wasn’t just the fear of heights that made it all so nerve wracking. It was also the occasional fear of the swimsuit. We leave our shirt on in the dang shower, so it can’t be easy filming an entire show in a two-piece! ”As a woman, I don’t care how confident you are. That was one of those moments….” she admitted.

But she said she felt the need to set a good example for the young girls that attend her non-profit retreat, Camp Kizzy. “It’s all about empowerment and self esteem,” she says. “I tell my girls this all the time, so I have to live it, I have to be the example. I have to love and embrace myself for exactly who I am.”
