Who’s up for a Razzie this year?

Who’s up for a Razzie this year? George Clooney pulls an epic prank on Matt Damon, and Lena Dunham hints at how Girls might end.

  • Kristen Stewart has done love stories before, but her next romantic film role has her “terrified.” The actress admitted that her part in Equals feeds into such a deep narrative, she’s not completely sure she can pull it off. We’re here to encourage you, K. Stew! [PopSugar]
  • Now that award season is totally upon us, we can’t forget about the Golden Raspberry Awards — though the nominees probably want to. So, who’s “leading” this year’s pack of bad films? Grown Ups 2 is the standout, with eight Razzie nominations. Ouch. [Los Angeles Times]
  • As hot as George Clooney is, we’re not sure if we’d want him as a pal, given his proclivity for pranks. Matt Damon talked about how George totally messed with his head while they were filming The Monuments Men. Apparently, Matt thought he was packing on some pounds, but George’s devious ways were behind the whole thing. [E!]
  • We’re already hooked on season three of Girls! So, where does Lena Dunham see her fierce foursome eventually ending up? [MTV News]

Girls returns for its third season tonight, hopefully answering the burning questions of whether Adam (Adam Driver) and Hannah (Lena Dunham) are currently living in domestic, Brooklyn bliss, and how Christopher Abbott‘s sudden departure will affect Charlie and Marnie’s relationship. Despite sweetly reuniting at Roberta’s in the Season 2 finale, all good things must come to an end. And besides, break-ups and heartache work better for this group. Like many 20somethings, the female protagonists of Dunham’s HBO series have had their fair share of romantic misfires. For every adoring boyfriend who is willing to hold your just-worn retainer, there’s a creepy older boss who doesn’t know the difference between good and bad touches or that casual hookup who won’t text you back.

We’ve cringed at some of the more uncomfortable encounters, swearing to resist all advances by famous artists and abstain from hooking up with a friend’s sibling (even if it’s only step). Rather than trivialize these bad dates or sexual experiences, Dunham’s crew portrays them in a painfully realistic way. Even if the show’s audience disagrees on the definition of realistic. Hannah’s weekend sexcation at the home of a handsome, wealthy doctor (Patrick Wilson) left fans, pundits and trolls to argue about whether or not she was “attractive enough” or the whole Woody Allen-esque plotline truly plausible. Other rendezvous were comical, some were sad, yet all represent the myriad experiences one cultivates over time. At least all adventurous girls do, don’t they?

To celebrate new beginnings, we ranked all of the gentlemen who have pursued or played Hannah, Jessa, Marnie and Shoshana. Who do we think is the most respectful? Who is the most pleasing? The most sane? Take a look at the gallery above, ranked from truly awful to bona fide catch, to find out.

Dating is complicated, and no one knows that better than the cast of HBO’s Girls. While their characters navigate the sometimes cruel world of love as a Millennial, the actors themselves seem to have an easier go at it. Creator and star Lena Dunham has found love with Fun.’s Jack Antonoff, after meeting him on a blind date, of all things! At the Girls Season 3 premiere in New York City this week, VH1 News asked the stars of the show to channel their inner Dear Abby by answering some difficult relationship/dating questions. Namely, what should you do if you discovered your boyfriend likes to wear your underwear?

“You should break up with your boyfriend,” the always adorable Andrew Rannells responded.

Zosia Mamet, who’s been dating actor (and upcoming X-Men star) Evan Jonigkeit, disagreed. “I’d probably talk to him about it and see what the impetus is behind him wanting to wear your underwear. But also, like, whatever gets you off, you know? If you love your boyfriend enough, I don’t know, let him wear your f—ing underwear.”

We like that kind of healthy attitude! Now we can’t wait to see Zosia and Evan’s chemistry displayed onscreen during this upcoming season, when Evan appears as one of Shosh’s new love interests.
