Oprah Winfrey comes clean about who frightened her on the set of a film, Jennifer Lawrence was awesome even in middle school, and a Catching Fire star talks about her character’s emotional plot arc.

  • Beware, there are spoilers ahead. On last night’s episode of Family Guy, a beloved character met his end. The Griffins said goodbye to their martini-swilling dog, Brian. But it doesn’t seem fans were willing to let him go, as they took to Twitter to express sadness and anger. There’s now even a Change.org petition to bring back Brian. [Lost Remote]
  • With all the barriers she’s broken down, it’s hard to believe anyone could make Oprah Winfrey shake in her boots. But she admitted that on the set of The Color Purple, Steven Spielberg “terrified” her. If nothing else, it pushed her to deliver an amazing performance in the film! [E!]
  • It turns out that Jennifer Lawrence’s quirky presence goes back to her middle school days. A Reddit user posted a pic of J. Law in her early teens in one of the most amazing classroom photos ever. [Huffington Post]
  • And speaking of the Hunger Games star, MTV speaks with another one of the film series’ cast members and her character’s arc in a moving tale of love. [MTV News]

Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David made news this week thanks to his “peak Larry David” face, on display at the New York Knicks game. It’s understandable–a fast-paced NBA match-up between top teams can elicit a wide range of feelings from anyone in the building. And when our favorite stars have the good fortune of sitting courtside, their emotional output never goes undocumented.

It’s clear NBA games are the place to be: Rihanna makes the arena rounds in whatever city she’s touched down in that morning, while lifelong Lakers fan Jack Nicholson has withstood years of season ticket turnover–and newbies encroaching on his turf. Whatever their motive for being there, behold the celebs who give the best face on the court (and what we presume they’re feeling at the time).

Since his days playing perpetual schemer Louis Stevens on Even Stevens, Shia LaBeouf has shed the majority of his Disney innocence thanks to professional feuds and a tendency to get naked on camera. Because we’ve grown up with the now 27-year-old actor, his departure from family-friendly material, and his drastic physical transformation, is somewhat jarring. Jarring and incredibly fun to look at…

LaBeouf first established himself as leading man potential alongside Megan Fox in the Transformers series and Carey Mulligan in Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. Since then, Adult Shia moved even further away from the House of Mouse by bulking up for his roles in Charlie Countryman (out Friday) and Lars von Trier‘s forthcoming Nymphomaniac–yes, that’s the title–as well as showing off his defined abs, back, and arms in music videos and promotional campaigns. (He has nude scenes in both films, in case you needed to prioritize future movie trips.)

Whether you’re a fan of Sigur Rós, or simply have a Google Alert set for “Shirtless Disney Stars,” check out photos of his impressive physique, inside.
