The Up In The Air actress recently talked to New York Magazine about regretting not being there for some key moments with her family. “I missed [Gytta] crawling,” she laments. “She learned to crawl yesterday when I was on The View, telling the ladies what it was like to kiss George Clooney. So I’m having these Medea-Madonna pendulum swings.”

Vera recently directed Higher Ground, that had its debut at the Sundance Film Festival, and she was able to make sure she saw her family during production. Son Fynn plays the part of the main character’s child, and Vera’s husband, Renn, is its musical director and one of its producers. Farmiga’s youngest sister, Taissa plays the protagonist as a teen. Not to leave anyone out, Farmiga’s mother and grandmother appear in the film as extras.

Tamblyn’s rep confirmed to People today that the 47-year-old star of The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret and the 28-year-old actress, recently of House fame, will be getting hitched. The two started dating publicly in 2009. Similarly, Cross started his sophomore year of college when Amber was in utero. We’re just kidding, you guys! We wish David and Amber the very best; unlike Cross’s character Tobias Funke on Arrested Development, may their marriage find them both ever-nude.

Kelly Preston: "I Love Being A Mom"

Kelly Preston and her beautiful boy Ben cover the September issue of Health magazine. Though she keeps busy with her career and her work with the Jett Travolta Foundation, Kelly’s true passion lies in motherhood. “I love being a mom,” the actress reveals. “I’d keep having babies.” Kelly gives a glimpse into the happy home life she now shares with her husband John Travolta and kids Ella, 11, and Ben, 8 months, and reveals how family, friends and faith helped her survive the death of her son Jett in 2009.

On finding out she was pregnant again: “We had been trying for quite a few years, and then of course there was a time when we weren’t, and then we started trying again. When I found out I was pregnant, I was floored. I’d snuck out of bed and then came back and woke Johnny up in bed. We both started crying. It was wonderful.”

On being a hands-on mom: “Very hands-on. I absolutely adore my kids. Johnny and I love them up constantly. Ella’s like, “Mom, ugh! Thank god you had Ben because now he can take some of the kisses!” And Johnny sings to them—a lot of Tony Bennett and Barbra Streisand.”

On appreciating motherhood: “Absolutely. I’ve always wanted to be a mother, ever since I was 11. I was an expert babysitter. I was doing commercials for thousands of dollars, but I’d still babysit for $3 an hour just because I loved it. I’m just in a good place, and am able to really be with my kids. It’s pretty amazing having a child at this age.”

On weathering the storm: “Johnny is definitely my rock. Kirstie (Alley) is one of my absolute best friends. My mom, my brother. And to be honest, the Scientology center. I don’t know if I would have made it through without it. We’ve been able to navigate through it and to come to a place that is a lot better.”

On what she’s learned along the way: “Don’t sweat the small things. Love your kids like it could be the last moment. Johnny and I really give our kids the space to discover who they are—to make their own choices and to experience the joys of life.”
