Though she failed to cash in on the news that she was pregnant last fall (probably ’cause her bump revealed itself too early), it seems Jessica Simpson has found other ways to fund little Maxwell Drew’s shoe fund. According to WWD, People magazine will pay her $800,000 for the first pics of her daughter with fiance Eric Johnson. That’s not quite the millions celebs like Matthew McConaughey and Brangelina have made recently, but it’s still a nice chunk of change. Especially considering the fact that many famous parents, like Jay-Z and Beyonce, have been going the (classier?) route of posting the pics on Twitter and Tumblr for free. JSimps is also going to make a reported $4 million on a “weightloss deal” when she loses those baby pounds, according Us Weekly.
For all her Chicken of the Sea quotes, Jessica never ceases to amaze us with her business savvy. She’s never been a remarkable singer and her acting career fizzled quickly. And yet through reality TV, her still-growing fashion empire and our endless fascination with her, she is wildly successful and never far from the public eye. Already, it looks like little Maxwell’s got a chance to follow in her footsteps. You go, Mama!

Among the many things that have been bugging us about Glee this season — how high school students are able to apply to college in May, the inconsistencies of Coach Sue’s character, the picking up and dropping of potentially great love stories like Sam and Mercedes’, the underuse of NeNe Leakes — the increasingly Lego-man-like quality of Blaine’s ( Darren Criss ) hair wasn’t necessarily the one that needed fixing first. But it was hilarious to see addressed head-on, and not just from another snide Sue Sylvester nickname. Brittany’s ( Heather Morris ) ban on hair gel at the prom was almost as brilliant as her dinosaur theme

Among the many things that have been bugging us about Glee this season — how high school students are able to apply to college in May, the inconsistencies of Coach Sue’s character, the picking up and dropping of potentially great love stories like Sam and Mercedes’, the underuse of NeNe Leakes — the increasingly Lego-man-like quality of Blaine’s (Darren Criss) hair wasn’t necessarily the one that needed fixing first. But it was hilarious to see addressed head-on, and not just from another snide Sue Sylvester nickname. Brittany’s (Heather Morris) ban on hair gel at the prom was almost as brilliant as her dinosaur theme. And it was refreshing to see Blaine show his weakness, a chink in his perfect boyfriend armor, since he’s always the one helping Kurt get over his insecurities. That the cause of his weakness was his “broccoli head” made us have hope that the show could one day fully regain its quirky sense of humor. We are talking way too seriously about a site gag. But that’s just because we don’t want to think about how much last night’s episode made us despise Rachel.
So, back to the funny. New York magazine’s Vulture alerted us to the above Twitter photo of Darren Criss in his pre-Glee, full broccoli, Harry Potter StarKid days. Is it just us, or does he look better with curls than with a plastic helmet? Here’s a great gif of the de-gelled Blaine at prom, courtesy of the Topblainestan Tumblr:

So, what do you think — to gel or not to gel?

It was about time that Demi Moore gave up her @mrskutcher handle on Twitter.

It was about time that Demi Moore gave up her @mrskutcher handle on Twitter. She recently posted an arty self-portrait on the social networking site, heralding her return after a couple of months. For good reason too, considering the spate of problems she went through. But, the main one concerning this name change was her split from husband Ashton Kutcher. And after her initial defensiveness about not changing her Twitter name right away last year, she’s finally broken this last tie to her married life. So give a warm welcome to @justdemi. She tweeted the name out earlier today, writing, “So hard finding a name that was fun somewhat playful and available. So for now it will be justdemi. It could grow on me!” That was followed by another message, “Thanks everyone for your help in finding my new name!” What do you think? We kinda like it. It’s short, sweet and simple. And we’re all for new beginnings!
